Fact Families Math Flash Cards app for iPhone and iPad

A key to math success is knowing your math facts. This takes tons of repetition so it needs to be fun.
Teachers know that learning your math facts makes the most sense in the context of a fact family 3 + 4 = 7, 7 - 4 = 3, 7 - 3 = 4, 4 + 3 = 7. Learn one family and you instantly know 4 math facts. This flash card app allows you you specify the fact families for addition/subtraction or multiplication/division and learn them in a rewards based environment. There are three levels ordered that show all the family questions in order. This is great for when you are just learning a new fact family. Once youve mastered that level, you can move on to random mode where the questions are asked randomly for greater challenge. Finally you can graduate to crazy mode which teachers call missing addends where the questions change from 3 + 4 = 7 to ? + 4 = 7 or 3 + ? = 7 or ? / 10 = 6 and 3 x ? = 27.
To make it fun there are sounds and graphics designed by kids for kids after each question. If you enter a wrong answer it will prompt you to try again, the second you enter the right answer you move onto the next question. In other apps, if a child accidentally hits the back button after answering most of the questions, they lose all record of their work. Doh! With this app, you can stop at anytime and your time and number of questions answered is saved. This way Mom and Dad can easily see how you are improving.
Have more than one kid? You can setup as many fact family configurations as you need. If the kids enter their name, their scores will be saved separately by name.
Even though there are tons of flash card apps out there, I made this one because none of the others made it easy to study just those facts that the teachers wanted the kids to study each week. While I was at it, I figured Id address my kids key pet peeves with the apps we tried. They hated that if they accidentally hit the wrong number, theyd get it marked as wrong. In this app, if you answer the question incorrectly it patiently waits for you to fix it, after a few seconds it lets you know that it wasnt right and gives you a chance to fix it right away. Once you enter the right answer, you dont need to press any other keys, it automatically goes on to the next question.
I usually hate listening to the sounds my kids games make, this one though lets me monitor their progress without hovering so I love it. Of course if you still hate the sounds, you can turn them off :)
